The best time to do this trek is between April and November, except during the monsoon (July and August), when there is a chance of landslides.
You should carry high-ankle trekking shoes. Depending on the weather, the state of the trail, and how long the trek is, different shoes are best for different types of treks. For this hike, it's best to wear shoes with thick soles.
From Dehradun, you can drive to Uttarkashi. Dodital is a popular place to go trekking in the Uttarakhand Himalayas. It is a freshwater lake at an elevation of 3085 meters. The 30 km trek through dense forests and deep valleys ends at Darwa Top, which is 4200 meters above sea level and is in the border district of Uttarkashi.
The first day of this trek is easy, but each day after that gets a little harder. Before going on a trekking vacation, it makes a lot of sense to spend some time getting more exercise. After all, the more fit you are, the more fun the experience will be. For this trip, you should be in good physical shape and be able to walk for up to 7 hours on some days.
We will walk anywhere from 8 to 15 km a day, except on the days we take off to go sightseeing, travel, or do other touristy things.
Dodital, which is in Uttarkashi, is a religious place. When you're not trekking, you can go to places like the Shakti and Vishwanath temples. You can also go to Nachiketa Lake, which is another lake.
To get to Dodital, you need to start your trip in Dehradun. If you want to go Dodital Trekking, you need this. If you don't want to go on a very long trek, you can take a bus, car, or other vehicle to Uttarkashi and then walk to Dodital. From here, you can go to a lot of different places. If you don't want to talk much, you can take a short jeep ride to the village of Sangam Chatti. From there, it's about 21 km to Dodital.
