Leh

The Indian union territory of Ladakh has a district called Leh. It is in the country's north, in the eastern Karakoram range. The district is known for its stunning natural beauty, tall mountains, deep valleys, and clear rivers. Leh is the biggest town in the district and is where most of the district's business is done.

Today, Leh is a popular place for tourists to visit. Many people visit the beautiful scenery and learn about the area's history and culture. The town is home to several important monasteries, including the Thiksey Monastery and the Shey Palace, both worth visiting.

One of the best things about Leh is its food. The district is known for its delicious Tibetan and Ladakhi cuisine, which is heavily influenced by its location on the Silk Road. The local food is hearty and full of flavour. Ingredients like lentils, rice, and vegetables are often used. Tibetan momos, thukpa (noodle soup), and skyu are some of the most popular things to eat in Leh (a type of stew).
