There are three ways to get to Dharamkot from Delhi: By Bus: There are many buses that run between Delhi and Mcleodganj and Dharamshala. From Delhi, the best way to get there is by Volvo, which takes between 10 and 13 hours, depending on the weather and the road. Get off at the Mcleodganj bus stop and take another bus or a taxi to Dharmakot, which is just 2 kilometres away. You can also walk to Dharamkot, which takes about 30 minutes. By Air- Airport Kangra at Gaggal is just 20 kilometres from Dharmakot. You can fly to Gaggal and then take a taxi or bus to get to Dharamkot. By Train: The nearest train station to Dharamkot is in Pathankot, which is 93 km away. Take a train from Delhi to Pathankot, and then take a taxi or a bus to Dharamkot.
During your Kareri lake trek, you'll walk for a long time and cover a long distance. So you need sturdy, comfortable shoes that are made for hiking.
